Greenway Hub Building at Grangegorman Campus

The RKD designed Greenway Hub, located on the Grangegorman Campus, is a first in two ways in that it is the first BIM Level 2 building to be delivered to the public sector in Ireland and it is the first new building on Dublin Institute of Technology’s (DIT) the new campus at Grangegorman. Procured as a Design and Build contract by the Grangegorman Development Agency, it was built by BAM Building whose architects were BDP. Completed 2 months ahead of schedule and with no changes, the use of BIM in the delivery of this building was hugely advantageous.

The building was funded through Programme for Research in Third-Level Institutions (PRTLI, ERDF & HEA) and Enterprise Ireland, with matching funding from DIT. It has a floor area of 4400 m2 and is now in the process of becoming home to the DIT Hothouse incubation facility and to the Environment, Sustainability and Health Institute (ESHI).
